FALSE PRETENCES
Young - Men Charged
After pleading not guilty in the Magistrates’ Court. Wellington, yesterday to a charge of attempting to obtain liquor valued at £4/12/11 from Herbert John Davis Power, licensee of the Royal Oak Hotel by a false pretence, Raymond Cyril Ford, stable assistant, aged 21, and William Thomas Ford, metal worker, aged 25, were found guilty by Mr. Stout, S.M., and remanded till tomorrow for sentence.
Detective-Sergeant W. McLennan prosecuted and Mr. R. Hardie Boys appeared for both accused.
