Sir. —In connexion with “Unsectarian’s” letter to you on this subject appearing in your issue of August 20, I would like to point out that the attitude of the New Zealand Anglican Board of Missions 'toward, raffles is that of the Church of England, which i.S given in the report of the General Svnod of that Church for 1934. The resolution reads: “That this synod disapproves of the practice of raising money for Church purposes by means of raffles or lotteries of any kind.” — I am, etc., F. C.
