Ewe Hoggets Make High Price At Waipukurau BREEDING EWES EASIER Dominion Special Service. WAIPUKURAU, June 18. At the Waipukurau stock sale today, the highest price for the season for ewe hoggets, 25/-, was obtained. The market was steady for woolly iambs, but was easier for breeding ewes than Stortford Lodge prices of last week. The quality two-tooths were good buying and a line of 158 on account of 1-1. G. Duliby, Poranguhau, realized top price, 28/10. M.A. ewes from the same quarter realized 26/7. Four to eight-tooth ewes, late shorn, made 25/-, good five-year sorts 23/-, fair-moutbed six-year sorts-14/-: very forward Lincoln two-tooth wethers 23/3; mediumsized forward woolly hoggets, 18/2 to 19/2. A small entry of fat cattle was forward. None of the entries was prime. The prices ranged from £4 to £5. Rising three and four-year good Hereford store steers made £B/5/-.
