Firearms In Queensland (Received June 19, 12.15 a.m.) CANBERRA, June IS. An official examination of the firearms and explosives taken from aliens in North Queensland [reported on page 9] reveals no attempt to accumulate war weapons. On the contrary, most of the firearms were of a sporting type, while the explosives were usually used for clearing, quarrying and mining. The Government is pleased with the calmness with which the majority of 'the Italians are behaving on the Queensland canefields.
