Crew And Passengers From Scuttled Italian Ship (Received June 19, 12.15 a.m.) SYDNEY,’ June 18. The passengers and crew of the Italian ship Romolo, which was set on fire ami scuttled in the mid-Pacifie upon Italy’s declaration of war, arrived in Sydney together with tlie crew of an American steamer which ran aground on an unnamed reef. The pilot, of the Romolo tells a story of how an Australian auxiliary cruiser shadowed the Romolo after leaving Brisbane for Thursday Island en route to Italy with a cargo of wool. Fire broke out suddenly amidships, whereupon the passengers and crew took to the boats and rowed to the warship. Subsequently the crew of the American ship were also rescued.
