COMFORTS FOR NAVAL MEN

The valuable work done by the Wellington branch of the Navy League in providing comforts for naval men was (referred to by Air. G. Hayden, secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board yesterday afternoon. At short notice, he said, the Navy League was asked to assist in providing helmet balaclavas, blue or white scarves, mittens and gloves, and with the aid of members of the Navy League in Wellington and in other towns in the Wellington province, a large part of the requirements was met. “The board,” -Mr. Hayden added, “is indebted to the Navy League for its ready assistance at all times in always endeavouring to meet urgent requirements for the naval personnel.”
