To -that effect they should communicate with the nearest Belgian Consulate which will arrange for their passage and. provide them with travelling expenses. A “Dominion” Special Service telegram from Napier says that in his capacity as Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Barnard has sent notes to both the Belgian Consul to New Zealand, and the Netherlands Consul (M. Vigeveno), expressing the country’s sympathy in the unprovoked and barbaric attack on their countries, and hope for the rapid expulsion of the invader.
