AUSTRALIAN PAVILION
Use As Winter Garden Proposed
A proposal that the material in the Australian Pavilion at the Exhibition, which has been given by the Australian Government to t’he New Zealand Government, be used for a winter garden in Central Park, Wellington, was made by Mr. G. C. Beckett, at a meeting of the committee of the Wellington Beautifying Society last night. He pointed out that Auckland bad acquired its winter garden from the exhibition held there. It was decided to suggest to the city council that it propose to the Government that when the time came for the removal of the pavilion it be used for a winter garden.
