DUCK SHOOTER FOUND DEAD
Invercargill Resident (By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, May 13. The body of Mr. Gordon Glennie, a well-known resident and a prominent s'portsman, was found yesterday in New River Estuary, near Duck Creek. Mr. Glennie was out duck shooting and lie was found lying face down with his gun unloaded on his back. Lie apparently slipped and fell when making his way through rushes. An inquest was opened, and after evidence of identification, it was adjourned sine die.
Mr. Glennie was (>3 years of age and leaves a widow and an adull family of three sons and four daughters He was a well-known footballer in his younger days, being a stalwart of the Linwood ('lull. Christchureh. and afterward of the Pirates Club. Invercargill, lie represented Southland It) years ago. Later he became a keen bowler ami enjoyed much success in the game.
