CABLES FOR SOLDIERS
Question Of Reduction (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, April 18. Questioned regarding charges fo" cablegrams for soldiers in Egypt the Postmaster-General, Mr. Jones, stated (hat the matter of reduction was stiil under discussion with overseas administrations. In the meantime arrangements had been made for a charge of four words only (five in the case of deferred or daily letter telegrams) to bo made for addresses of telegrams to soldiers in Egypt irrespective of the number of words contained in that portion of the message. Telegrams could thus be fully addressed to ensure delivery without the senders bearing full charges for lengthy addresses.
