Motor-Car Strikes Post

The mayor of Upper Hutt, Mr. J. Blowman, received a severe lacerated wound to the top lip and an injury to the left ribs when the car he was driving struck an post in High Street, Lower Hutt, just north of Trinity Avenue, shortly after 5' p.m. yesterday. After receiving medical attention he was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
