RECRUITING RALLIES

Community Sings In Town Hall Another of the series of daily community slugs to stimulate recruiting attracted a good attendance in the Town Hall, Wellington, yesterday. The speaker was Colonel A. Cowles, chairman of the Wellington Area Recruiting Committee. The song leader was Mr. Gladstone Hill, and Mr. Ernie Dean was at the piano. A bracket of songs was given by Mr. H. F. Wood, accompanied by Miss J. Burnand. The attraction of today’s programme will be members of the Charley’s Aunt Dramatic Company, and it is probable that the Mobilization Camp Band from Trentham will also be present. The speaker will be the Mayor, Mr. Hislop.
