AUCKLAND WOOL CHEQUE
Over £1,000,000 This Season
Dominion Special Service. AUCKLAND, February 11. Woolgrowers throughout the Auckland province will share in the distribution of over £361,0.00 tomorrow, which is prompt date for the third appraisal in Auckland of wool tinder the British Governments wartime purchase. The appraisal comprised 21,200 bales. Further supplies ot wool are still coming in to the stores, although the rate has slackened somewhat. Tentative dates have been fixed for two more appraisals before the end ot the season. With the present cheque the total distribution in Auckland this season will be over the million mark, approximately £1,063.000. This is slightly above the figure for the-whole of the 1938-39 season, when £1,061,743 was distributed. With two appraisals still to be held, it is clear that the total cheque will be a large one, which will bear comparison with the record realization of £1,528,545 in 193637.
