NIGHT ARREST IN SHOP
Breaking And Entering Charge £ Arrested on Thursday niglit on the premises of C. Smith, Ltd., where it. was alleged they bad attempted to blow safes. Samuel Jamieson McKee. lalHiiirer, aged 29. and Hoy George Cudby, labourer, aged 37. appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M.. in (IoMagistrates’ Court, Wellington, yeslet" day. They were charged wild break ing and entering the shop with intent lo commit theft. On tile application of Detective Sergeant W. McLennan, McKee and Cuddy were remanded till next Friday. Bail was refused. Detective Sergeant McLennan said that I here was another case of safe breaking to he investigated. Both men had been before (lie Court on previous occasions charged with serious offences. McKee and Cttdby were arrested in ('. Smith's by Defective* N. -I. McI’hee. It. Tripuey, 11. Ally, and U. G. I rqnii.'ii'l, ami Sergeant Boniiington.
