Miss Pat Kidd, Remuera, Auckland, is visiting Wellington and is staying at the Hotel St. Geonge.

Mrs. Frank Dean, St. Heliers, Auckland, is spending a holiday with her parents, Mr. and Sirs. J. Ball, Brougham Street, Wellington. Mrs. Frank Reading and Miss Betty Reading, Tinakori Road, have returned to Wellington from the south. Mrs. Arthur Grigg, Surrey Hills, Canterbury, has returned from a visit to Wellington.

Miss Eileen Wakefield, Christchurch, is visiting Mrs. C. Strothers, Oriental Bay, Wellington.

Mrs. H. S. Williams and her family, Fendalton, Christchurch, will leave today on a visit to the Centennial Exhibition, Wellington.

Misses Josephine and Dorothy Cameron, Timaru, are the guests of their aunt, Mrs. G. 'Wilson, Wellington. Miss Margaret Fox, Hawera, winner of the Dame Nellie Melba Scholarship, accompanied by her father, Mr. H. C. Fox, will arrive today at Wellington and will leave this week for Australia, where Miss Fox will compete in the finals for the scholarship in Melbourne on February 7.

Miss Margaret Moorcraft, Auckland, has returned home after spending a holiday in Featherston as the guest of Mrs. D. H. Buck and Mrs. AV. Barker.

Miss Ellison Gill, Blenheim, who has been visiting her aunt, Mrs. A. E. Hammer, Remuera, Auckland, has returned home, accompanied by Miss Shirley Macky, Auckland, who will be her guest in Blenheim. Mrs. P. Mepham, Wanganui, is visiting Wellington, Mid is the guest of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Mepham, Island Bay. Mrs. Harold Goggin, Christchurch, is on a visit to Wellington, and is the guest of Mrs. David McNaughton, Karori.

Miss Barbara Smith, Grant Road, has returned to Wellington from Sydney, after- several months’ holiday in Australia and New Caledonia.
