Stoker Missing From Steamer By Tplesrnnti- Association GREYiMOUTH, January 19. Myles Edmondson, aged 23, a stoker on ' a steamer, is believed to have been drowned about 9 p.m. in tlie Grey River. A .watersider working on the vessel heard a splash astern, and saw a man swimming till he vanished iu midstream. Edmondson was found to be missing, and a lifeboat was launched from another steamer nearby, and rowed by four seamen down the river and back without finding a trace of Edmondson. He was a single man, and a native of Dunedin. It. was stated that he had shown evidence of depression during the day, but otherwise his companions aboard were unable to account for his disappearance. Edmondson was a good swimmer.
