(British Official Wireless.)
RUGBY, December 21.
The Minister of War, Mr. HoreBelisha, today attended the first ceremonial parade in England of the Canadian Force and afterward inspected tbeir barracks. After the visit, Mr. Hore-Belisha said he had been most impressed. “I do not think any finer body of men ever crossed the ocean,” he said. “Their drilling in formation is absolutely jxirfect. They are only just now collecting their equipment, but they seem to have been soldiers a very long time. I hope the people of this country will give them all the hospitality possible. One must congratulate Canada on her expeditionary force and the officers on the brilliant organization they have displayed.”
The Canadian Minister of Defence, Mr. lan Mackenzie, announced in the course of a broadcast speech that the No. 110 City of Toronto squadron—the oldest squadron of the auxiliary or nonpermanent a-rm of the Royal Canadian Air'Force—has been selected to be the first squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force for service in the field with the First Canadian Division.
