Having been unable to find •> S '*’P take him to India, lite R-t. Rev. T. LRiddle, moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, has returned to Auckland. Air. Riddle left by the Mariposa tor Sydney just before England’s declaration that a state of war existed with Germany, and he found on arrival at Melbourne that shipping services to India had been considerably reduced. Mr. Riddle represented his Church as fraternal delegate to the trienma assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Australia, and then decided to postpone his plans for returning to India, whence he came to New Zealand, am came back to Auckland. He will tulfi the various duties of his olhee ti November, when he hopes to be able to arrange a passage to India.
