COURT OF APPEAL
An appeal came before the Court of Appeal at Wellington yesterday against the judgment of Mr. Justice Fair, dismissing a motion for a nonsuit or new trial in the case in which a jury awarded Karora Kohu and his wife Ngawai Kaukau Ataiti £5BO with costs against the Tauranga Electric Power Board, representing dam,i„lw for tiie death of their son Niwhai Kohu aged ,17. as the result of a collision with one of the board's vans driven by li-iroid William Davidson, troubiemau. The appellants (the board) were represented hv Mr. V. R. Meredith (Auckland) ami Mr. H. F. Bollard, and respondents bv Mr. 11. 0. Cooney (Tauranga). 'The hearing is proceeding.
