RESIDENTIAL NURSERY

Mrs. L. O. H. Tripp presided at the monthly meeting of the Residential Nursery, Owen Street, Wellington. A detailed account of the alterations and renovations of the nursery was given and much satisfaction expressed at the progress of the work. It was hoped the nursery would be ready for occupation by the beginning of October. Mrs. Hugh Ross (treasurer) reported donations from the following, for which the committee expressed sincere and grateful thanks: Mrs. L. 0. H. Tripp. Kliandallali-Ngtiio branch, Lower Hutt branch, Wadestown branch, Kelburn Northland, Island Bay circle, Seatoun branch, Oriental Bny-Rose-neath branch.

A vote of thanks was accorded the Macartby Trustees for their donation. Deep appreciation was expressed of a legacy from Miss Joseph. Management Committee. Mrs. Porter presided at the monthly meeting of the ‘management committee. Excellent reports were given by Mrs. Hollis, Mrs. Gardiner, Mrs. A. B. Gibbons, Mrs. T. I l '. Walsh, Mrs. Priestley, Mrs. Fyfe, Mrs. Beales, Mrs. A. Longmore, Mrs. Booth. Messages ol supitort were received ,from Mrs. Dod Contes anil Miss Helen Willshire, regarding their contributions to the alteration and renovations to the nursery. Great pleasure was expressed at the’gift of oak cols from an anonymous donor.
