CONTROL OF WOOL

British Requirements

By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.

LONDON, September 25.

The Wool Control announces that the Government requires considerable quantities of wool at maximum prices, subject to such additions as may be made to those prices when the control takes over supplies. . , This announcement, it is believed, should relieve the reluctance of traders to sell. The International Wool Secretariat denies a rumour that stocks of wool are inadequate. Similarly on the supply side wool available is fully adequate to cope with the demands of 'belligerents and neutrals.
