Bowie and Co., Ltd., Thompson Bros., Ltd., and A. Pope and Co., Ltd., ns follows — Apples: Sturmers, 7/- to 12/6 a bushel case; Delicious, 7/- to 15/6; Granny Smith, 10/- to 15/-; Rome Beauty, 7/to 11/-. Pears: Winter Coles, 10/- to 15/6 a threequarter case; Winter Nelis, 8/- to 12/-; P. Barry, 9/- to 12/-. Passion fruit: 5/- to 12/6 a half case. Tomatoes: Hothouse, 2/4 a lb. New Zealand grapefruit: 10/- to 15/a bushel case.
Potatoes: 10/- to 18/- a cwt.; new potatoes, 4d. to sid. a lb.; onions, 18/to 20/- a cental bag; cucumbers (hothouse), 10/- to 14/- a dozen. Celery:'3/- to 6/6 a case; swedes, 4/to 6/6 a case; leeks, 2/- to 3/6 a case; lettuce, 4/- to 15/6 a case; cabbage, 4/6 to 6/- a sack; spring, 1/- to 3/- a sack; cauliflowers, 10/- to 16/- a sack; pumpkins, triumble, 40/- to 47/6 a sack; grey. 30/- to 40/-. Silver beet: 2/- to'4/6 a ease; carrots, 14/6 to 23/6 a case; spinach, 4/- to 10/a case; parsnips, 3/6 to 6/6 a case; beetroot. 4/- to 7/6 a case: rhubarb, new seasons, 10/- to 16/- a dozen bunches. Gold Mining Returns Gillespies Beach dredge reports a return of 250 z. Bdwt. from 15,680 cubic yards worked in 121 hours. The New River dredge reports a return of 17oz. from 9300 cubic yards of old workings in 97 hours.
Moonlight Goldfields report that the washup on the claim on September 23 was 81.1 oz. for 400 hours’ sluicing. Mossy Creek dredge reports that there was no washup this week.
