GOLDEN WEDDINGS

Dannevirke And Wanganui Residents Mr. and Mrs. 11. T. Ellingham, Allen Street, Dannevirke, celebrated their golden wedding on July 31 with a large family party. They were married in Waipawa. Mr. Ellingham was born in New Zealand, but Mrs. Ellingham came to New Zealand from the Isle of Man, when she was a small girl. They have six children, Mrs. E. B. Edwards, and Mrs. 11. C. Morton, Wellington; and Messrs. H. A. Ellingham, E. F. Ellingham, J. V. Ellingham, and R. K. Ellingham. They have nine grandchildren. The celebrations were made complete by the presence of the best man and the two bridesmaids of 50 years ago. They were Mr. Fred Ellingham, Dannevirke, and Mrs. R. C. Ellingham, Pahiatua, and Mrs. Norman Stewart, Hastings. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leiglt On July 27, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leigh, Kellf Avenue, Ararnoho, celebrated their golden wedding. They have recently retired to Wanganui from Fordell and Turaklna. where Mr Leigh has farmed all his life. Mr. Leigh was born in Turaklna, and Mrs. Leigh came from Ireland when she was three years old. They were married in Wanganui.

A party wa.; held at their residence and was attended by their family, rel.i tions and friends. They received many telegrams of congratulation from all over New Zealand. Their children are: Mesdames FL Willard and F. ('hell, Wellington. Mesdames MacLachlan, W. Kiernan, Turn kina, and Mr. Charles Leigh, Upper Aramoho, Wanganui. They have W grandchildren.
