Mrs. S. A. Madden and Mrs. E. Tatty, Masterton, are visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Bidwill, Featherston, are visitors to Wellington. Mrs. C. Savage, Masterton, who was a visitor to Wellington to meet the Wanganella, returned home on Wednesday. Mrs. A. Tattley, Parnell, who is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Keith Rollings, Wellington, will return to Auckland at the end of the week. Mrs. D. S. Smith, Wellington, wife of Mr. Justice Smith, is the guest of Mrs. Guy Batham, St. Clair, Dunedin. Miss M. Murray, Palmerston North, and Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Morton, Te Kuiti, will be North Island visitors to Christchurch during race week. Mr. and Mrs. D. Drummond Bailey, New Plymouth, will arrive at Christchurch today and will stay at Warwick House. The Hon. T. F. O’Byrne and Mrs. O’Byrne, Invercargill, will arrive; at Christchurch, today for the Grand National races. Miss Nora Newton, Christchurch, has arrived to join the nursing staff of the Wellington Hospital. Miss Joyce Rogers, Rongotai, and Mrs L. J. Armitage, will be Wellington visitors to Christchurch shortly for the Rogers-Hawkins wedding. Mrs. K. D. Henderson, Oxford, Canterbury, will leave shortly on a visit to Wanganui. Miss Nancy Gillespie, Wellington, is staying with Mrs. Jack Matthews, Ratanui, Featherston. Miss M. Pither, Masterton, is visiting Wellington, where she is the guest of Mrs. H. H. Miller, Island Bay. Miss N. Caldwell, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Caldwell, Hessy Street, Masterton, has returned to her home in Wellington. Miss Hilda Clapcott arrived from Bluff yesterday morning and spent the day with Mrs. Guy Didsbury before joining the Wanganella last night for Sydney, where she will be the guest of her sister for a few months. She will later go on to England, and the Continent. Going Abroad Mrs. T. F. Gibson, Christchurch, left Wellington last night by the Wanganella for Australia, where she will visit her daughter, Mrs. G. Oldham, Melbourne. Mrs. Ernest Cordery, Christchurch, left Wellington last night by the Wanganella for a two months’ holiday in Australia. Miss Enid Paterson, Maori Hill, Dunedin, left 'Wellington last night by the Wanganella for Sydney.
