CONTROL OF FISHING AND SHOOTING
Minister’s Suggestion Opposed
By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, July 31
Opposition to a suggestion made recently by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Parry, that he desired to place deep-sea and fresh-water fishing and wild-fowl shooting under the control of a Government department, thereby superseding acclimatization societies in this respect, was expressed at a meeting of the Otago Acclimatization Society tonight. It was decided to call a public meeting to discuss the subject.
