MISSING CAR FOUND BY POLICE
Young Driver Arrested By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, July 30. A ear that has t>een missing from Christchurch since the beginning of this month was located by the -police in Pukerau on Friday, the young driver being arrested on a charge of having stolen the vehicle, which is valued at £260, from Dominion Rentals Company, Christchurch. It is alleged that the car was rent d in Christchurch on July 7 and then driven south by the young man who had hired it. Investigations made by the police show that he found employment in Momona, a warrant in the meanwhile having berm issued in Christchurch for Ids arrest. Advice was received by the police, on Thursday that the car had been seen in Henley. Inquiries were made and it was learnt, that, the runaway had set out for Dunedin again. For some reason he doubled back on lib, tracks and he was apprehended on Friday in Pukerau, where he was held up by flood waters. He will appear, in the Magistrates’ Court, Balclutha, tomorrow, when the police will ask that he be remand, d to Christchurch.
