MOTOR-CYCLE AND TAXI COLLIDE

Mr. William Thomas Kibston, a diesel excavator driver, employed by the Public Works Department at the Timaru airport, was fatally injured in a motor accident near Chertsey on .Saturday evening. He was motorcycling to spend the evening with his wife, who resides in Sockburn, when he collided with a taxi taking passengers from Christchurch to Ashburton. It was raining at the time, and visibility was bad. Death must have been instantaneous. Mr. Kibsbon leaves two children, aged three and one years. MANAWATU ACCIDENTS Motor-Cyclist Seriously Injured Dominion Special Service. PALMERSTON N’., July 30. Three persons were admitted to Palmerston North Hospital yesterday following traffic accidents. The condition of one is reported to be serious. M Mr. K. Neilson was Injured in a collision near Buniiythorpe between a mo-tor-cycle he was riding and a motorcar. He is reported to be dangerously ill. Following a collision between a mo-tor-cycle and a bicycle at the corner of Princess Street and Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North, Mrs. G. Workhimi, the cyclist, was admitted to hospital.
Mr. R. Goodwin received a fractured leg and concussion in a motor-car accident. Details are not available.
