MAORI CONCERT
Maori entertainments have always been popular iu Wellington, therefore the concert which will be given in the Town Hall, Wellington, next Tuesday and Wednesday night* by members of the V-ati-Poneke Young Maori Club, sliomd be well attended. An attractive programme, will include old and new songs, spectacular act ion songs, ha has, ami graceful poi dances. In addition to choral items, splos will be sung by Miss Weno Tahiwi,of Otaki, who achieved outstanding successes during the recent tour of the Waiata Maori Choir to Great Britain which included a performance before Their Majesties the King and Queen at Buckingham Palace. The choral items will be conducted by Mr. Kingi Tahiwi. The object of the concert is to raise funds for the proposed Wellington Anglican Cat lied rnl. The president of the Ngati-Ponekc Mission Society, Lady Pomare, will speak from the platform.
