World Premiere On Treasure Island

’TIH'E world premiere of “The Story X of Alexander Graham Bell,” held in the Hall of Western States of Treasure Island of the Golden Gate International Exposition, marked the first time any film was so honoured with such an exhibition. A special train carried the entire cast, headed by Don Ameche, Loretta Young, and Henry Fonda, and including Charles Coburn, Gene Lockhart, Spring Byington, and the three sisters of Loretta Young, to the premiere of this 20th Century-Fox production, which was marked by all the glamour of. a Hollywood opening. Mr. H. D. H. Cqnnick, chief director of the exhibition, said: “We .were happy to be able to jifiye so distinguished a picture as this to show as the Golden Gate International. Exposition’s first tribute to the motion picture industry.”
