Three Of Medical Staff Resign Dominion Special Service. DUNEDIN, June 20. Three members of the medical staff of the Otago University, two professors and one lecturer, tendered their resignations to a meeting of the Otago University Council today. Dr. Carmalt Jones, professor of systematic medicine, and Dr. Frank Fitchett, professor of clinical medicine, wrote giving six months’ notice of their intention to resign from their respective positions, and Dr. E. 11. Williams tendered his resignation as lecturer on diseases of children. The resignations were accepted with regret, and high tributes were paid to the valuable services rendered to the university by each of the retiring professors and the lecturer. It was stated that the vacancies would be covered by the new chair of medicine.
