Powers Of British Supply Minister LONDON, June 19. During tlie committee stage on the Ministry of Supply Bill, Mr. Burgin, Minister of Supply, said that when the Bill was passed he woul’d take over all supply in which the War Office acts as agent for the Dominions, colonies, and allies. He will have power to buy up all scrap iron which would possibly otherwise go abroad and will obtain throughout the Empire all supplies of certain raw materials; essential for the manufacture of arms.
Tlie War Office announced that Rumania is purchasing army supplies through the British Director of Army Contracts.
