Tramper Missing In Ranges SPRAINED HIS ANKLE Reported on Saturday to be missing iu the Tararua Ranges, Mr. Roderick Sinclair, an electrician, aged about 32, of 7 Oriental Terrace, Welliugtou, was found yesterday morning by a search party from Otaki Forks. When discovered on the track about two hours’ walk away ifrom Otaki Forks, Mr. Sinclair was found to have a sprained ankle. A runner was sent out ahead of the search: party to carry the news that Mr. Sinclair was safe. Mr. Sinclair and Mr. Roy Wilson left Wellington on Friday night with the intention of exploring the Hector River in the Tararua Ranges. Near the Kime Memorial Hut on Saturday, the men became separated and Mr. Wilson, after searching vainly for his companion, sjient the night in the hut. Intermittent rain and heavy fog on Sunday morning greatly restricted visibility, and in the afternoon Mr. Wilson returned to Otaki Forks and reported the disappearance of Mr. Sinclair.

The search party was led by Mr. V. E. Davidson, chief guide of the Tararua Tramping Club, and Mr. Sinclair was found by Mr. Corrigan, Otaki Forks, and a companion.
