OTAGO MOUNTEDS

New Guidon Presented By Telegraph—Press Association. & DUNEDIN, March 20. A notable event in the history of the Otago Mounteds was a ceremony at the Wingatui racecourse yesterday when the Governor-General, Lord Galway, presented the regiment’s new guidon, which was dedicated by Chaplain Stevely. It was an impressive ceremonial in which all units of the Third Composite, namely, the Canterbury Yeomanry and the Nelson-Marlborough Mounteds, took part. The ceremonial farewell to the old standard was a moving function.
