HOSPITAL RATING
“Absolute Unfairness Of Present System POSITION IN WAIRARAPA Dominion Special Service. MASTERTON, March 20. “In view of misconceptions which may have arisen by the publication of various sets of figures following the .municipal conference, the figures for this district should be of interest*’ said Mr. L. T. Daniell at a meeting of the Wairarapa provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union today, referring to hospital rating. “It will be noted that on a population basis the rural dwellers pay four times as much a head as the urban dwellers, which illustrates the absolute unfairness of the incidence of the present system of hospital rating.” Mr. Daniell quoted the following figures for the Wairarapa hospital district in support of his contention : —
