MANX MOTOR-CYCLE CLUB
Progress During Past Year The Manx Motor-Cycle Club's financial year ended recently, and the annual general meeting was held last week. The balance-sheet was adopteu, there being a sathsfactory amount brought forward The secretary, Mr. It. S. Goodwin, said that though the club had been in existence for only two years, the membership list was on the hundred mark, and the club had established itself as the premier club in Wellington, catering for all classes of motor-cyclists. During the past year the club had formed' the Wellington Road Safety Committee to assist the Minister of Transport’s road safety scheme, and it had also acquired a sports ground of its own at Pahautanui. The following officers were elected : — Patron, the Hon. W. Nash ; president, Mr. H. IV. Tolley; vice-presidents, Messrs. K. Brown, T. Oates. G. E. Stock, J. Stevens, I. Spence, and L. .Southward; secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. S. Goodwill • captain. Mr. C. A. Smith; committee. Messrs. C. Dawson, E. 11. Goodwin, W. Matthews, A, Parkin, K. Proctor, A. V ood.
