I There was a northerly wind blowing and I the lawns were very keen, making play difficult on the more exposed lawns. BeI cause many of the A grade players were I taking part in the Dominion tournament i now in progress at Palmerston North, I there was a large number of substitutes ■ playing. The following is the draw for the halfteam matches to be played tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. 'The team mentioned first pJayci on the home lawn :— Johnsonville v. Seatoun 1, Hataitai v. Mt. Victoria, Lyall Bay v. Seatoun 2, Karori v. Woburn, Hutt 1 v. Ngaroma, Hutt 2 v. Upper Hutt, Eastbourne v. Island Bay. Pollock Stars.
The Pollock Stars are still held by the Island Bay players, Mesdames Green and Winchcombe, the challengers last week being Mesdames Sargisson and Galvin (Ngaroma). The game was fairly even all through, a strong wind blowing preventing any big breaks being made. Near the end of the game Mrs. Sargisson pegged out Mrs. Winehcombe's ball. Mrs. Green at that stage had rover hoop to make. With the opponents' balls near penultimate, Mrs. Green picked up t,he shot and was able to finish, the score being 21-26. Mrs. Roffe, Kelburn, was in charge of the game. The next to challenge will be Mesdames Greig aud Harper, Upper Hutt. Mrs. Brice, Hataitai, will be the referee.
Association Ferns. Tile Association Ferns are still held by the Seatoun players, Mesdames Neilson and Wiseley proving much too strong for the challengers, Mesdames Jackson and Turner, of Hataitai, the final score being 26-13. Mrs. Kelly, Waimarie, was the referee.
