‘PARADE OF LAUGHTER’
The New Revue How, indeed, could “The Parade of Laughter,” Frank Neil’s second big revue at the Grand Opera House, be other than a “laugh parade,” with jovial Will Mahoney at the head of affairs, and, as if that were not enough, diminutive Violet Carlson adding to (lie gaiety with her delightful mischief? Evie Hayes, charming radio star, adds to the mood of the revue, too, with popular songs. In the latest programme several of the most popular turns of “Why Be Serious?” have been found worthy of repetition. Though comedy tops the bill, the show is not all laughter. All that is best in variety entertainment has been skilfully blended into a programme that has something to please and interest everyone. So then oo Tex Morton. Jitnae, Whitey Roberts, nnd Johnny Bryant offer a pleasing variety of entertainment and the charming, well-dressed girls of the ballet, who dance with grace and precision, add a good deal to the enjoyment of the show. “The Flower Shop,” in which the girls nre led by Dome Ricketts. is a really beautiful number. "The Parade of Laughter” will be presented for three more nights. There will be a matinee on Saturday.
