Tournament Concludes HAWKSWORTH WINS TWO MORE EVENTS ' Dominion Special Service. MASTERTON, January 25. One of the most successful tournaments ever held by the Masterton Tennis Club, which included the Wairarapa and North Island championships, ended in perfect summer weather today.

Semifinals and finals of the mixed handicap doubles were decided. F. Hawksworth and Mrs. Hawksworth (Masterton) beat R. J. D. Sharpe and Miss M. Glenny (Hawke’s Bay) in an interesting final of the championship doubles, 6-4, 8-6. Hawksworth won another event when, partnered by Mrs. G. McLeod, he beat N. AV. Groves and Mrs. Holder, 8-6, in the final of the mixed handicap doubles. The concluding results are:— Mixed Championship Doubles. Semifinals. —Sharpe ’and Miss Glenny (Hawke’s Bay) beat Dyer and Miss Castle (Wellington), 6-1, 6-2; P. IlawKsworth and Mrs. Hawksworth beat Bold and Miss J. M. Betts. 6-8, 6-4, 6-1. Final. —P. Hawksworth and Mrs. Hawksworth beat Sharpe and Miss M. Glenny (Hawke’s Bay), 6-4, 8-6. Mixed Handicap Doubles. Semifinals. —Groves and Mrs. Holder beat N. A. Faulknor and Miss N, Risliworth, 8-3; P. Hawksworth jtnd Mrs. G. S. McLeod beat H. M. A. Major and Miss L. Beetham, 8-6. Final. —P. Hawksworth and Mrs. McLeod beat N. AV. Groves and Mrs. Holder, 8-6. .
