r. Ministerial. The Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Edu-’ cation, left Wellington last night for Auckland, where today he will represent the Prime Minister and the Government at the State luncheon to be tendered to the High Commissioner for Australia in London, Mr. S. M. Bruce; the Premier of Ontario, Hon. M. F. Hepburn; and the Ontario Minister of Public Works, Hon. O. A. Campbell, who are passing through Auckland en route to Australia. Mr. Fraser will spend the weekend In Auckland and return to Wellington on Tuesday next. The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, is expected to return to Wellington today from Christchurch.
Lord Strabolgi, the Labour peer, will leave Wellington this morning by air for the Franz Josef Glacier. He will return from the South Island on Tuesday next.
Mr. A. S. Cookson, Duitediti, is visiting Wellington.
Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Digby, Wellington, left for Blenheim yesterday. Mr. J. L. Arcus returned to Wellington from tlic South Island yesterday.
Sir Cyril Ward, who lias been visiting Wellington, returned to Christchurch last night. Dr. M. G. Louisson. Christcnurch, returned to Christchurch from Wellington last night. Mr. W. M. C. Denham, M.P. for Invercargill, arrived at Wellington in the Wahine yesterday. Mr. F. IV. Doidge, M.P. for Tauranga. is making satisfactory progress after an operation in ttu Auckland hospital.

Mr. Cecil Mason, genera! manager of Columbia Pictures IToprieituy, Ltd., of Australasia, left Wellington by the Limited express lust night for Auckland. He Is to leave today by the Mari posn for Sydney. Tlte Hon. W. E. Barnard. Speaker of tlte House of Representatives, who lias been on a cycle tour in Hie Nelson district, arrived at Wellington yesterday. He will remain till tomorrow when he will leave for Napier
Mr, Gerald T. Egan, manager of the Invercargill branch of the Commercial Bank of Australia, Ltd., lias received notification of his transfer to the bank’s lietttl office in Melbourne, where he is to take up a position on the inspecting staff. He will be succeeded tn Invercargill by Mr. S. A. Bell, manager In Grafton, New South Wales.
Captain H. M. Barnes, of 11.M.5. Philomel, has been appointed honorary naval aide-de-camp on the staff of his Excellency the Governor-General for one year, according to a notice gazetted last night. He takes the place of Captain I. G. Glennie, 11. N., whose period of appointment in the New Zealand Division has expired.
