While travelling by ear from Auckland to Wellington, Mr. Cecil Mason, managing director of Columbia Pictures for Australia and New Zealand, who is on a business visit to New Zealand, called at the Chateau Tongariro. He had with him Frank Capra’s new film production, “You Can’t Take It With You,” and exhibited it to the large assembly of guests. At the conclusion he made a collection, the substantial proceeds of which will be added to the Victorian bush fires refugee relief fund.
