TEAM FOR ROTORUA
Southland Swimmers By Telegraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, January 13. The following team has been selected to represent Southland in the junior and intermediate swimming championships at Rotorua at the end of the month: —Girls: Joyce MacDonald. N. Dixon, B. Westerby, S. Brown, and M. Gerrard. Boys: J. Cameron and D. Kirkland.
Competing in the 50 yards junior girls’ backstroke ■ trial, Miss Westerby swam brilliantly, setting up a record of 36 4-5, eclipsing the New Zealand record, which was 37 2-5.
