DEADLOCK REPORTED

Italo-German Economic Talks

ROME, January 11.

The economic talks between Italy and Germany for which Dr. Funk, German Minister of Economics, specially went to Rome, are reported to have resulted in a large measure of disagreement without Dr. Funk being able to indicate how the difficulties might be got over. He is now en route to Berlin, leaving technical experts to continue the discussions.

A Berlin message says that Dr. Funk, in a statement on his arrival at Berlin, declared that all problems had been settled on the principle of mutual satisfaction.
