ESCAPE FROM GREYMOUTH JAIL
By Telegraph—Press Association ' ’ GREVMOUTH. January 12. Arrested on warrant on Monday for failure to pay a tine of £5, a prisoner escaped from the Greymouth jail at noon on Tuesday and has not been located.
The prisoner, who was serving a sentence of seven days’ imprisonment, was given work in an outbuilding and a quarter of an hour later was missing.
