Annual Calnp Concluded
Tlie annual camp of the Wellington Battalion of the Boys’ Brigade has just concluded, and is reported to have been an outstanding success. TJie camp was held on the property of Mr. W. 11. Field in a well-wooded situation near the Wnikanae Beach, and the permanent improvements in the nature of cookhouse and other conveniences again made a decided contribution to the happiness of the boys. The camp was under the command of Mr. Roland H. Hill,' Captain of the 2nd Wellington (Mornington) Company, who was assisted by the Adjutant, Mr, L. F. Thetford. Captain of Ist Wellington (Miramar! Company. Mr. J. K. McDonald, Captain’ of Sth Wellington (Newtown) Company, was the medical ofliccr. Mr. C. A. Irons ami Mr. G. H. King, Lieutenants 2nd Wellington Company, acted as quartermaster ami canteen officer respectively. ami Mr. A. I*l. Mudd, Lieutenant Ist Petonc Company, was publicity officer. Mr. J. Davies was camp cook. Sixty-eight boys and seven otlicers were under canvas from December 26 till January -I. The officers report that the discipline throughout left nothing to be desired. The camp was attended by boys of all the larger Christian denominations, and in addition to Wellington boys there were representatives from Hastings and New Plymouth.
