Splendid acceptances have been recen - ed bv the Auckland Trotting Club for the second day of its summer meeting, and patrons may have difficulty in selecting the winner of each race. Gentleman Joe has bepn accepted for in three races, and so promises to have a conditions are favourable, „ Lawn Derby is to make an attempt on tne mile grass track record of 2.4 at present standing to the credit of Nervie s Last.
