NEW MOTOR-CRUISER FOR WELLINGTON

Auckland
By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 15. Beginning a voyage to Wellington, / the 45-foot motor-cruiser Strathmore left Auckland for Tauranga shortly after 10.30 tonight. A fine and commodious launch, the Strathmore was recently purchased by Mr. C. Todd, Wellington, from Mr. R. W. Butcher. Hamilton. She is making the journey in charge of Mr. A. R. Clarke, who will be accompanied as far as Tauranga by Mr. Butcher. Mr. Clive Power, Auckland, will then join the Strathmore for the remaining stages. The launch should reach Tauranga tomorrow morning and will leave after fuelling, for Gisborne and Napier. Mr. Clarke stated that he expected to reach Wellington in four days, weather permitting.
