Australian Eleven v. Rest
(Received December 9, 11.45 p.m.) MELBOURNE, December 9.
What is described as a centenary cricket match, in which Australian Test players are participating, began on Ihe Melbourne Cricket Ground today. A boisterous northerly wind proved troublesome. The teams were an Australian eleven led by Bradman and the Rest, led by Rigg, the match attracting only a moderate crowd. Rigg won the toss and batted. Scores: — THE REST.—First Innings. Rigg, b.
