MOTOR VEHICLE TYRES
Fitness Warrant Needed Agreement with comments by Mr. J. 1.. Stout, S.M.. concerning the need for a regulation to ensure the Illness of tyres on motor-vehicles was expressed yesterday by the Minister of Transport, Mr. Semple. The Minister said that tyres were an important, part of a vehicle mid could be responsible for accidents. In fact, a faulty tyre could be as dangerous as any other faulty part of a car if badly worn. The matter would have to be brought within the scope of the regulations. Mr. Semple said that he was very grateful to the magistrates of the Dominion for administering the law as it should be administered. "Their comment and advice in connexion with motoring offences from time to time is very helpful and highly appreciated.” lie said.
