Rangimarie Events / Finals of the Labour Day week-end tournament on the Rangimarie links yesterday resulted as-follows:— Winter Cup: Strickland beat Nash, 2 and 1. First flight:. J. B. W'att beat Macfarlane, 1 up. Second flight: Jackson won by default from T. .Bush. A stableford bogey event yesterday morning was won by Tunnell with 36 points. Next came O. James with 34. The junior section was won by ,C. Chegwidden, 32 points. A stableford bogey foursome in the afternoon was won by Strickland and Francis with 34 points. Next came O. James and Tunnell, 31 points. Paekakariki Club The leading scores in the qualifying rounds for the flight tournament conducted by the Paekakariki club at the weekend were: F. . Marshall, 78-14-64; F. Smith, 75-10-65; A. Smith, 72-7-65; 11. Bundle, 72-7-65; W. Gollop, 78-9-67. The finals of the flights resulted: — First flight: A. Gollop beat IV. Gollop, 2 up. Second flight: J. Smith beat N. McKenzie. 4 and 3.
