ing Timaru for the Reid-Miller wedding, and is the guest of her mother, Mrs. George Reid. Mrs. H. M. Wilson, Hastings, and Miss Diana Wilson, have left to spend a holiday at Christchurch.
' Miss Jean Begg, India, is spending a few days at Wellington before leav-
ing for Dunedin, where she will stay for the rest of her furlough in New Zealand.
Mrs. J. F. Studholme, Lower Hutt, is visiting Wanganui. Miss Betty Duff-Taylor, New Plymouth, is spending a short holiday at Wanganui. Mrs. Lewis Eliott, Feilding, is the guest of Mrs. Victor Eliott, New Plymouth.

Mr. 0. F. Marshall-Smith, Marton, accompanied by his wife and two children, is visiting Auckland for the diamond wedd ng celebration of his mother and father, to be held at Koliiujarama to-day. Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Robertson are Wellington visitors to Wanganui. Mrs. S. A. Chatfield, New Plymouth, is spending a holiday at Auckland. Mrs. A. G. Elliott, New Plymouth, is spending a holiday at Auckland. Mrs. W. A. Armour left Wellington last night on a holiday visit to Christchurch.

Returned Home
Mrs. Freeman Jackson, Wanganui, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. H. E. Worsp, Whangarei, has returned home.
Mrs. L. R. Curtis, New Plymouth, has returned from a visit to Wellington. She was accompanied by her daughters, Miss Joan Curtis, Christchurch, and Miss Shirley Curtis, Wellington.
Mrs. J. W. Brown, who has been the guest of Mrs. H. F. Toogood, the Terrace, Wellington, has returned to Wanganui.
Going Abroad
Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Talbot. Christchurch, will arrive at Wellington today en route for Auckland, where they will join the Mariposa for a visit to tile United States.
Mrs. J. Fairbairn an'd family, Lower Hutt, will leave by the Wanganella on September 1 to take up residence in Melbourne.
Miss Maynard Hall, the former “Aunt Pat” of 3YA, Christchurch, has arrived at Wellington en route for Sydney and Los Angeles. Miss Hall will stay with her brother, Mr. Winter Hall, in America.
A multi-coloured striped American frock Is cleverly cut with the stripes going round the skirt, diagonally on the bodice and down the sleeves. It is very smart.
